Trump could really change the narrative around climate change, this is his opportunity. He should say the followingā¦.
- Climate change is real, the climate has always changed. We have 8.2 billion people on the planet, and we have built concrete jungles all over it. Of course surface temperatures are going to go up a bit.
- We canāt control the temperature and shouldnāt try. We should mitigate the impact we have when reasonable.
- We need to focus more on access to clean, fresh water than oil. We used to worry we would run out of oil. Oil isnāt the enemy, in fact, the human race has progressed mostly because we have used the natural resources here on earth. Look at how the life expectancy of people has increased significantly since we started using oil.
- We have too many people living in areas that are not meant to have millions of people. Southern California shouldnāt have 23 million people. Itās an environmentally fragile place that is prone to earthquakes, wildfires, etc.
- We will pay to help put your life back together, but not there in Southern California. Itās an uninsurable, environmentally fragile place. We canāt put you back there just to have this same thing happen again. We will give incentives for you to move to parts of the country that have lower risk for disasters and more fresh water.
