This affects us all

You are saying that George Floyd was not murdered by suffocation by Minneapolis Police? That is a strange belief.
No dippy…. You are being intentionally dishonest. The non-existent issue is that white cops are hunting down black dudes for sport. That’s the narrative of your people and that’s why the death of Floyd sparked the nationwide riots. Indeed a non-existent issue, as has been proven over and over again with facts and hard data. Now stop perpetuating that lie.

The other day I mentioned that an illegal shot another person in my town. Who shoulders that blame?
1. The shooter
2. Joe effing Biden

*edit to include whoever the current controller of border security is. Trump in this case. Bottom line is that this current administration as actively encouraging illegal migration into our country and has zero intention of vetting the illegals. Sleepy is on video encouraging this migration. Whether or not the percentage of crimes committed by illegals is lower than crimes committed by legals is inconsequential. Strict border security is imperative to the good health of our country. There’s obviously a lot of people who don’t give a damn though…

The Chinese care about every conflict they think can undermine the USA, whether internally or externally (and this can do both). So do the Russians. These are geopolitical competitors under their current governments. I'd be the first to say that, under a different regime, the Chinese very well could be a great trading partner and force for a more stable world. Under the current government, they are an increasingly isolated, troubled nation (partly because their very real internal problems make external distractions helpful to the government).

On campus, I don't think students should be punished for expressing pro-Palestinian ideas or participating in rallies or whatever. I think the college Presidents were right. The proper attack on them is that many of their institutions have not given the same leeway to right-leaning groups (even much more normal ones than the Palestinian defenders), and they should be crushed for that. I do think a lot of right-leaning thinkers and pols have figured this out and are working to generate a backlash against that behavior. I sincerely hope they don't ultimately settle for two-way censorship, the worst of all solutions.
I think a huge issue with protests these days, is many aren't just protests with sincere protestors. Quite a few include paid hacks. Many protests include threats. FI Jewish kids going to college have no control over what the US govt or the Israeli govt do, but that hasn't stopped death threats and making life uncomfortable for them/safety issues. That isn't acceptable behavior/free speech on a college campus.

If you make death threats, you are not protected by the First Amendment. If you make someone uncomfortable, you are. If you are merely protesting, you are definitely protected by the First Amendment.

This is not very hard. It doesn't matter whether a person takes a popular or unpopular position, the First Amendment applies to protect all but the most extreme speech (something like a death threat).

Obviously the shooter is responsible. I’d have to know more about said shooter to see if anyone else shares any responsibility. Did the shooter have any prior arrests?
I don’t know anything else about the shooter. Local cops have been told to back off by the US Marshalls so I haven’t heard much else about it.

I think the reason people are drawn to these articles is because it’s obvious these types of situations are going to increase….and they didn’t need to.

Yes, we have always taken in immigrants. But we used to take in a much smaller #, and properly vetted individuals coming to this country. Those days are over, it’s a free for all.

The border is very much broken, but let me tell you how things were from the late 1970s to roughly the early 2000s ... similarly broken. Far less attention paid to what was going on with a very different and more limited media environment.

Immigration is a mess right now with an inability to put out those claiming asylum, and their remaining for years. But your conception of the good old days is grossly inaccurate. Look at the immigration history from about 1890-1930. It was wide open as long as from Europe and not Asia. Millions came here. No vetting except for a cursory medical at Ellis Island to check for any obvious serious communicable diseases. All you needed to get in was a sponsor which was meaningless as they were merely a name, and about $10 to buy passage. Immigrants like ALL FOUR of my Grandparents were packed like sardines on the ship to act as ballast. If you were from Ireland, the British government paid your passage to get you out of Ireland. Look at pictures and read the history.

Yes, social media has made these stories much easier to find.

It doesn't make me feel better to know that things were similarly broken 20-50 years ago.

Nice condescending comment to end your post.

I'm well aware of history. I also don't care about what was happening 90-130 years ago. That's not relevant to what is happening today.

You can’t even stick to one position on the vaccine, so I’m not really concerned with your feelings about me. First it was killing everyone, now it’s harmless. Pick a position, and stick to it.
Zero sense of humor. My position on the vaccine is consistent. I called it harmless so that it wouldn't trigger you. I failed.

It was a net gain in GDP of 1.7% that quarter. It had decreased by 31.4% the previous quarter. Basically regained the losses.
Yes, that is exactly the point. The US recovered quickly thanks to Trump and Republicans going all-in on reopening the economy despite the criticism that they would be killing people.

Have you ever posted anything when it’s a white male (that isn’t a democrat) crime? Not seeing a whole lot of that. Why is that? Now, if the person is black, transsexual, or an illegal…you post it. And it’s the same from the left. Only posting horrific crimes that fit their own political agenda.

Stone has never said that Biden is a bumbling idiot. Youve never said that Trump is a bumbling idiot. Guess what? They are both bumbling idiots that no one should be proud of to vote for.

I don’t think that it makes anyone a bad person for doing any of the things above. I realize that it is simply what politics has become. It’s a team sport and most people will root on their team no matter how bad they are.
I just posted about the Gilbert goons yesterday. The majority of the goons were white. All criminals should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law regardless of race. Why did you make this about race?

Still killing everyone eventually?

The people crossing over are not the same and the number of encounters has been intentionally increased…. President Apple sauce explains it right here

When I was in Ohio there was an illegal that was detained and reported by the Lake County Sherrifs office to ICE. They said let him go. Within a week he had attempted to rape a 14 yo and murdered an elderly woman. I posted that on a different message board…liberals said no big deal! Really the bureaucrat who made that decision should profusely apology to her husband.

I see the state of Illinois is going to be cutting back on their funding of health care for illegals, etc. Didn‘t the 26 Dim stooges on the debate stage in 2020 all raise their hands for free health care for illegals? Who didn’t know that wasn’t going to work?

I’m just curious how many young women and girls will be raped and killed before we admit there is a crisis.

If this is porn to you, that’s a you problem. Progressives have more of an issue with these crimes being shared, than the crimes themselves. They will remind you, kids are resilient.

It’s a huge problem already . Here is European data

It should be easy, but, when you have weak university administration, threats happen and nothing is done about them. Stopping traffic on a bridge or expressway is also not a protest. People should know they will win a Darwin Award, but they do it anyway.

There was a large problem in Europe several years back during the holiday season. Large groups of immigrants would surround women to entrap them and then mass grope them. Authorities did their best to try to hide what was going on at the time.

We do it, but shame on the Russians and Chinese for doing it. Also Chuck Schumer is a effing dweeb who needed to bare minimum get censured for the protest he helped create at the footsteps of SCOTUS.
Here is the response. I support their right to do what they need to defend their country….but asking for handouts at the same time?

Hey dunce, Florida is as crowded in the summer as in the winter season.
