Current events

Trump will get conservative court justices. I accepted that the Party wanted Trump because his policies were good. You stand for violent criminals not being prosecuted, kids getting their bits cut off permanently, the military going woke instead of being a powerful fighting force. You're on the wrong side of history this election cycle just as you were in 2020. Oh and here you are with an insult about MAGA Acolyte. What a pathetic sore loser you are this morning.
Whatever.

I ended up with what I wanted. You might not respect how I went about it, and that's fine. My vote (or non vote) wasn't impacting the race in my state.

Kamala didn't have a position to highlight. She was horrible on the border. She changed her Israel/Palestine position depending on where she was. She refused to say how she voted on the California crime bill. They thought she could just stay on the sidelines and let Trump self implode. That would have been the right move if people thought the country was headed in the right direction. Unfortunately for them, most of the country does not think we are headed in the right direction, and she didn't have any ideas to change that.
I likely got what I wanted despite your lack of voting for the Republican candidate. With Trump probably winning the popular vote, the nutty Democrats wanting to end the EC and go strictly with popular vote just got a lesson.

She got it really wrong. People mess up. I am a logical person so it makes more sense to me that she just had a bad poll then it was some nefarious plot to influence an election through a poll for a meaningless state.

It amazes me that after Trump's win that people are crying about a meaningless Iowa poll. MAGA is truly the party of grievance.
Yes, we all know she got it really wrong. The question I asked is why was she bothering to predict an outcome in what you describe as an inconsequential state? That made little sense unless it was for some other purpose.

I agree that it's a disgrace how we execute elections across the country. I mean, 20-whatever years ago Florida was a national embarrassment and in short order they turned it around and are now one of the most efficient. But recently it's become accepted/the norm, possibly deliberate, for multiple states across the country to be unable to efficiently tally the most significant elections they hold And it's fascinating that they all seem to be among the so-called swing states.

However, I think the last thing we want is heavy federal involvement in national elections. An unscrupulous federal coalition could effectively end truly fair/competitive elections. Granted, voters in certain states may never demand their respective states get their act together, but that's their prerogative.
It's all about election integrity and trust in elections. A deadline should be imposed and how the states meet that requirement is up to them. But, this nonsense has to end.

The election that rocked to the core conventional beliefs about political coalitions in America.

As it turns out, everyone regardless of what demographic they belong to cares about the price of groceries.

And the cost of housing. That is impacting everyone, not just the poor-middle class.

People are also tired of being gaslit about crime being down when they see something completely different in their backyard. Hispanics ramping up their support for the GOP is going to be tough for the identity politics of the left.

I think Elon Musk and Rogan did have an impact too. People are seeing that the left wants to shut down speech, and even companies (if the owner has the "wrong" politics"). Most people don't want businesses and innovation to be shut down because of politics.

OK, let's play this game. If you were going to produce a fake poll, why Iowa? Iowa is an inconsequential state. I didn't fall for it; I didn't care about it one way or another.

Why not a national poll or a poll in a swing state? It is ludicrous.
It's not a game. This lady had credibility and was willing to sell her credibility to do their bidding. She had a poll in July showing Trump up like 18 on Biden - but, she did NOT publish it because she didn't like the result. A lot of Democrats USED this result to encourage Democrats to vote thereby potentially saving down-ballot DEMS. But, it was BS from the get-go and Emerson dropped a Trump +10 poll hours before her (on purpose) to illustrate how ridiculous her poll was. Plain and simple - she sold out.

These pollsters are not only paid to do a poll they are also paid to produce a result. If they produce a result unfavorable to Democrats they will be fired. Most of them said it was an even race when in fact it was a rout.

Stone is much further to the left. I am in the middle.
You wanted Kamala to win - you couldn't be any further to the left. The American people just rejected the radical damage that your Biden 2020 vote inflicted on America. You are not in the middle. In the last 5 months, you have gone full TDS. You only posted negatively about Trump whereas "Middle" people post negative stuff about both - see @rillaman as one example.

I recall @dtrain79 belittling me for wanting to get rid of Biden/Harris supporting R Stephen Richer in favor a real R - Justin Heap. Congrats on losing is what he said. Oops, yet another failed DTrain prediction. This is a good omen for future Maricopa elections

It is getting a pretty emotional reaction from you for some reason. If you don't care about my posts, then don't comment.
You just don't like it when I point out the obvious. You stated you would not vote for KH on here. Then someone you labeled a "Trump Cultist" upset you. So, you announced you would go vote for KH. So what? Today, you took it on the chin and so you come on here and announce you are a Dem. Again, so what? Who didn't know that? I am sorry you feel the need for the "look at me" posts. Accounting not going so well?

Haha Jeff. Dive a little deeper into it! This guy with 3 posts on X got every state correct last night. Perhaps this will give you a better understanding. Or not.

My post had nothing to say about your vote. My post was about your position that Trump could NOT win a general election. It was a sure LOSS. That's all. Trump wanted your support, but didn't need it thanks to MAGA nation.

I told a dinner party months ago that Elon Musk could put his hand on the scale and help Trump. Then the left starts attacking Elon and forced him to become MAGA. This was a mistake.
They turned a lot of non-Rs into MAGA this cycle. RFK Jr., Elon, Rogan, Tulsi, Danica, etc. It's a pretty remarkable coalition that frankly only Trump could put together. I do believe RDS, Vance, Vivek, Rubio, etc. could hold it together / expand it. It all depends on whether Democrats can be honest with themselves. They have been pushing aside solid candidates for 30 years - Paul Tsongas & Tulsi to name 2. There was a 3rd in the Hillary race - perhaps a Senator from Virginia.

I do look for the Democrats to build the Southern Border Wall immediately since Trump won 45 percent of Latino votes.

I heard someone, maybe VDH, speculate the strategy of the poll in question was getting that data point into the mix to pull the averages towards Harris to create an illusion of 11th hour momentum in her favor. No idea if that's what the woman was up to or not, but any more I assume polls put out for public consumption are about as reflective of reality as campaign adds.

You really pay more attention to my posts than I do! There are only about 8 people who post here. If I was looking for attention, I would go somewhere else.

I am not tired of winning. The phony prosecutions that the deranged here LOVED were all failures only helping Trump with others who were persecuted. Sad day for the Railroad lawyer

They do! I can tell you that I know several minority males personally who voted for Trump because they didn't want biological males playing womens sports and understand there are only 2 genders. They had never voted anything other than Democrat.

I guess this makes it about as official as it gets up until she certifies him next January. Tip of the hat to her for appearing to take it more gracefully than many of her supporters.

This is interesting. The question will be who are the people moving from the blue states and if enough of them move, are they Democrats who will mess up the red states because they lack the self-awareness how their voting habits caused the issues in the state they were leaving.
