Here's my election day story. I've been pretty up front about my opinion/preferences in favor of in-person voting because the integrity aspects are the most straightforward. So I show up, fill out my ballot and go to put it in the machine. The man monitoring it said, "Oh, you have to stack your ballot here. The machine's not working. Someone will put them in once it's working." "When will that be? There aren't going to be any shenanigans, is there?" I asked. "Dunno," he said, "but don't worry, we'll have a (R) and a (D) present when they are." I said, "I'm neither, so that's not very assuring," then put my ballot in the stack.

I vote in Illinois and the downballot was pretty sparse this year, so it's not really a consequential thing if my ballot doesn't get counted. However if I lived in Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Arizone, etc., I'd probably have been sorta miffed.

What's the O/U on when the election can be called with any certainty? I'm thinking not tonight, maybe not even this week.

I invite any poster here that still believes that he has an open mind or looking to open his mind to watch Joe Rogan and Elon on Joe's program TODAY !

" Let's make Orwell fiction again !", Elon.

The people who think that there isn’t cheating (or at least attempted cheating) in this election have their head in the sand.
As the Presidential commission that included Carter and Bush concluded many years ago, mail in ballots is where the most vulnerability is for cheating. That's why the Democrats want more of it.

There have been many demographic shifts recently between the Democratic and Republican parties over the past decade or so. If Trump wins the election tomorrow, I believe that most of those shifts will become permanent.

Personally, I will be fine no matter who wins. However, if Trump does prevail, I will likely be a Democrat for the rest of my life. I have more shared values with the Democratic party than I have with the MAGA party. The Republican party that I grew up with will likely never exist again.
Nor will the Dems !

Looks like:
Trump = President
Senate = Republican
House = Democrat

Disappointed that Trump won but if the House is controlled by the Dems, it will be a stalemate and little will get done.
That is fine with me. Just hope there is not a major crisis during the next four years.

Looks like Kari Lake will lose again even with Trump doing so well.

This is a troll/parody account, but this is hilariously funny even as it isn’t a true story. And it’s sports-related!
