What are you talking about? This case deals with people who forgot to use a second envelope when mailing in their ballots.
Even though omission of the outer envelop takes away any ability to assess the legitimacy of the ballot, it's probably the right decision. Vote by mail is just a bad idea, IMO, regardless of whether it's convenient or popular. Leads to these situations where someone has to make a judgement call on whether or not it was a voter who couldn't follow simple instructions. Gray areas like that are too easy to exploit. At least they got it settled before the election, and hopefully tha PA legislature will tighten up their legislation going forward.

Atlas Intel is a bogus pollster that works to create false pictures. If there numbers were correct Trump wins in a landslide, Repubs win all of the Senate races, and keep the House.

Soon you're TDS will kick in full time for another 4 years and you will become unable to have a rational conversation. This is what "rational" with you looks like.

ALL polls are shifting towards Trump winning ! NO MATTER their bias either Party !

ALL 4 parts of the election process !!!!

1. Total popular vote to Trump.
2. Electoral College with a huge majority, 300+ of the 270 needed for Victory. A decent average is 312 for his total.
3. Senate Seats. 51 thru 53 Senate seats are now forecast for a Republican Majority.
4. House seats are speculative at this time, depending who you read. Common Sense says that IF Trump wins a plurality of votes cast, then his down ticket will triumph. Very few voters will vote FOR Trump and split their ticket. The opposite is more likely where voters don't vote Trump and vote Rep down ticket !

Change your thread photo to that girl with the green beanie and glasses screaming out her TDS !

The question is that people were not using an inner secrecy envelope that was placed in the outer envelope. Voters were using the correct outer envelope but did not use the inner secrecy envelope. In any event, voters were allowed to cast a provisional ballot in case their mail-in ballot was rejected because of the missing secrecy envelope.

This has nothing to do with voting integrity. It just allowed voters to have an opportunity to correct their mistake. It was an attempt at voter suppression by the Republicans.

Although I was censored for saying the left wing media is being controlled by the Dem strategists, I remain convinced that that is the case. The recent lock step "violence" message against Trump across the entire left wing media, including Kamala Harris saying he should be disqualified from the election, is proof. Just go to You tube and watch the coverage. But then watch what he actually said.

A free and independent media is no longer part of America. For you lefties, I'm not defending Fox, I just wish we had an independent media, which no longer exists. Central control of thought and information -- very Orwellian.

In typical Pennsylvania fashion, they don’t know how to correct the problem very well. Why not have a lookup system where voters can check online whether there are any problems with the ballot they sent in? If there are, they can come into the board of elections to get them corrected. It’s what we do here.

Agreed. It seems like the system is a mess.

Okay, if that's the case (never did see those details mentioned in any of the blurbs I saw on the topic ). I'd be inclined to say the Pennsylvania legislature should modify their laws to simply accept a ballot received in such a condition, and put a big warning in what they mail out that if the voter blows off the secrecy envelope then the secrecy of their ballot cannot be guaranteed, but then put in a reasonable process for workers to follow to to preserve secrecy to the extent possible. I'm still an anacranism and will never feel good unless I put my own ballot in a box with officials monitoring it on election day.

The secrecy envelope has the written info provided by the voter that verifies who they are and that they’re a registered voter. It’s a necessary feature of the system for it to work. The outside envelope contains none of that.

Okay, thanks. I thought it was the other way around, that the outer envelope had whatever would be the legitimizing/identifying information and the inner when removed would anonymize the ballot when it was counted. So I was sort of right to begin with even though I misunderstood which envelope was missing in that votes are indeed reaching election officials who can't verify they are legitimate when they receive them, which is no bueno. It's a very flawed way to do it. I don't think the lawsuit was as frivolous as I thought earlier. It should surprise no one that skepticism about election integrity is a growing thing.

Actually, you're right for Pennsylvania which is why they can't run an election and not screw it up. There's nothing the voter provides in that state that proves the ballot is legitimate other than their signature and date on the outer envelope. Here, the inner envelope contains all the necessary identifying info (registered name, driver's license or last four of SSN, etc.--all filled out by the voter). This is the proof that it's the real voter and their way of marking that the voter has "voted". The electronic database records that the voter has voted at the polls or by absentee. Once you've requested an absentee ballot, you're blocked from voting at the polls though you can still vote provisionally. Those ballots are only accepted later (by represnetatives from both major parties) once it's confirmed you've not voted any other way.

In the 1930's the Russians starved to death millions of Ukrainians, so much that when the Nazis invaded the Soviet Union a lot of Ukrainians volunteered to fight for the Nazis (until they learned how bad they were).

The Ukrainians hate the Russians but Putin is a despot and apparently the West is conflicted so a free Ukraine is in trouble. Putin knows this which is why he invaded. Same as when he invaded Crimea.

With everything breaking for Trump currently, this poll isn’t believable.

Unless this poll is right and the rest like Atlas Intel are garbage! The polls on the aggregators like 538 and Silver are faked even Silver stated that the polls are garbage and statistically impossible for them all show the same close race. I suggest you go read Nate’s the Silver Bulletin.

538 is ABC (Disney) at this point. I read Silver occasionally. He’s lost his way a bit. Even he suggests Kamala still only has a 17% chance to win Iowa with this latest poll included.

You said “some sanity in the world”. So what you’re saying is it isn’t sane to take illegal alien/non-citizens off state voter roles, as in Virginia, but this decision in PA is sane.

I suggest you don’t know what I read. Even Silver suggests Kamala still only has a 17% chance to win Iowa…even with this latest poll.
And just think, in 60ish hours, or 68ish hours + 10 days, it'll all be over except the accusations, lawsuits, and possibly 4 more years of TDS.

BTW, there is a bit of tightening in the race from a betting standpoint. Polymarket has the race 54-46 Trump right now. That changed fairly quickly.

Isn’t this biological men in women’s sports nonsense being taken up by a case in front of SCOTUS in this session or am I misremembering?

Not sure. Still pretty crazy that progressives support this. Men on both sides should be talking about how wrong and dangerous this is.

Still waiting for a woman to transition to a man and play men’s sports. Almost like there are some biological differences that prevent that from happening.
