All I can say is that at big military conferences in the US, things have changed. In years past, one would enter the showroom and see "Lockheed Martin", "General Dynamics", etc. in prominent can't miss locations. This past year, Lockheed and GD were nowhere to be found. What? Why not? Well, instead of exhibiting and promoting their products on the exhibition floor, they just purchased suites with a view where they hosted their VIP customers. No need to "sell'" to the unwashed masses.

Well, Lockheed like any major company has major sectors and niche-sectors. They have plenty to showcase on an exhibition floor filled with attendees around the world. Bear in mind, the skybox they purchased no doubt was more expensive than the floor space they didn't purchase.
There is no question that LM, GD, etc. all kiss up to the RNC and DNC. After all, you will note that these companies usually do work in every state. North Dakota has as many Senators as CA, TX, and FL - so it behooves them to have an office in every state.

There have been many demographic shifts recently between the Democratic and Republican parties over the past decade or so. If Trump wins the election tomorrow, I believe that most of those shifts will become permanent.
Personally, I will be fine no matter who wins. However, if Trump does prevail, I will likely be a Democrat for the rest of my life. I have more shared values with the Democratic party than I have with the MAGA party. The Republican party that I grew up with will likely never exist again.
