Afternoon TV had a long special of a man who refused the evacuation order in the maelstrom of fire and wind.
He was born there in 1960, it was his parents' home. He inherited it, looks like his Wife passed awhile ago.
Anyway, he had nowhere to go so he stayed. Had a normal size pool and koi pond. 2 inch hose that pumped a nice stream of water.
One story ranch, some trees in back yard. Kept watering the trees and any sparks on the home. He had extra time and pool water, so he did the same thing to his neighbors ! He stayed awake for 16 hours ! Fire passed on, NO MAJOR damage to the homes that he watched ! His neighbors had evacuated and had no idea he had saved their homes ! "Thanks !"
The entire time he NEVER SAW A FIRETRUCK !
When Obumma sells his 2 homes ON THE WATER (Hawaii and NY !) and Joe the Grifter on Rehoboth Beach, then worry !
