We came into today a consensus 8 seed.
Here are teams projected as 8 and below seeds that lost today

8 - Iowa
9 - West Virginia
9 - Auburn
10 - Providence
10 - NC State
11 - Pittsburgh
11 - Nevada
Bubble - Oklahoma State
Bubble - Michigan
Bubble - North Carolina

Plus there are a couple teams out west that haven't played yet.

There aren't a ton of teams soaring past us right now. We're in. We might be as low as a 10 seed but we're in.

NFL Draft Combine coverage

One of the more boring things on TV but kind of enlightening. DBs tonight and they were hyping Witherspoon. Yesterday was interior D lineman first followed by edges and linebackers later. I missed the lineman as did Jalen Carter. Iowa’s Lukas Van Ness‘s performance was a shocker and he’s moving up boards. And NWs Adetomiwa Adebawore got some chatter about being a first rounder based on his performance. Two first rounders from the worst Mildcat team in years.

The shocker to me was watching the linebackers and edges and seeing the disparity in speed between the B1G players and the ACC, SEC kids. Some of these front 7 D players from southern conferences are running sub 4.4. Numerous kids are running sub 4.6. I think the best I saw out of a B1G linebacker was 4.61 and the Butkus award winner, Campbell, was 4.7+. Van Ness at 275 pounds running a 4.58 was the exception.

Good luck to Witherspoon and Brown today..although I believe these are just replays

Chase Brown Continues Impressive Weekend for Illini at the NFL Combine

INDIANAPOLIS -- Illinois All-American running back Chase Brown was on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday as part of the NFL Combine. Brown had a big day, finishing in the top five among running backs in the 40-yard dash, vertical jump, and broad jump, including the best marks in both jumps among his position group.

Brown continued Illinois' strong showing at the NFL Combine, following his twin brother, Sydney Brown, and Jartavius Martin. Together the three produced the three best verticals in Illinois history at the NFL Combine and the three best broad jumps in Illinois history at the NFL Combine.

Brown's 40-yard dash time of 4.43 seconds ranked fifth among running backs and was the fifth-best time in Illinois history. Brown and East Carolina's Keaton Mitchell are the only running backs to finish in the top five of Sunday's three main events (40, vertical, broad) among their position group.
