Ryan Browne > Jack Tuttle

If you are doubting your QB, go with the runner and hope the passing works out. I suppose Tuttle had more points this week than Browne; but I do suspect Browne will give at least another D or two a hard time. Tuttle … another non answer for UM.

Lots of crow eaten this week from some posters. Michigan was … not that good. On a positive note, while way better, Oregon is more like a really good Top 10 team than the best team in the country. Still would require an epic offensive performance and some Gabriel TOs to beat the Ducks!

Aaron Henry had a much better day. If I’m a DC I live by this maxim: “If in doubt, bring the house.” The best antidote to open offenses is the blitz, I do think teams are finally realizing this 20 years in. Problem being is a really good spread QB will either avoid it or hit the hot route and you will get gashed. But better than all the 10 play TD drives you see when you play soft against a spread.

Bowl eligible and onto Autzen!

Josh Whitman got the job done

Both basketball and football are fixed.

Basketball is good every year now. Big Ten titles. Elite Eight. Reload with lottery picks.

Football is good now?!? 5-7 is the floor and we’re bowling regularly and looking like a better program this year than defending champ Michigan?

Tickets are selling out. NIL is flowing. Fans are taking over arenas all over the country. Strangers see my Illini gear in Maryland and start conversations with me about Illini sports.

One man more than anyone else is responsible for this turnaround, and that man is Josh Whitman. I hope he is enjoying this. I want to give him a hug.
