It bothers me but I don't go looking for every rape attack on women in the country and post them. There would be hundreds if not thousands per day. I don't scan the internet to find every murder and post it, there would be hundreds per day. Why do you MAGA feel a compulsion to find and post illegal immigrant crime posts all day? I have life, work, family to focus on, rather than crime, children that are abused, children that are hungry, puppies out in the cold. Try it rather than hunting Illegal Immigrant Crime Porn all day. You might lead a happier more meaningful life.

I don't think Obamacare is particularly good policy, but it's not as if the insurance carriers weren't heavily involved in crafting it. One of the primary reasons is that it brought them more customers.
The complaint here would be that other consumers are subsidizing Jeff (which is how things work when the government eliminates certain types of coverage exclusions).
Jeff is certainly right about one thing. The Republican refusal to push a market-based health reform - which they fear would be received poorly electorally even though it would likely work better than the current system - cedes a whole lot of ground to the Dems on the health care issue.

The Donald was not my 1st choice either, but I have no idea what will happen in November.
They have too many old people and rich people heading back and forth from various homes to allow squatters. It makes sense for Florida to nip it in the bud. I mean no state should allow it, but some liberal states make it difficult on home owners, because the Left has taken over their party and they don’t believe in private property rights, which is ridiculous and not even worthy to discuss. It’s hard to believe there are enough people who have tried to mainstream that idea.
From all I can tell, the NYC and the state of NY think there's a crime problem on the subway. There's probably more to this as well, subway revenues are likely important to the City's budget, and are almost surely way down due to changes from Covid (such as WFH). A loss of consumer confidence in safety only compounds the issue.
I feel like I am repeating myself. Crime is up in NYC from 2019, though it's almost certainly down from 2021/22 (at least the most serious crime is). NYC in 2019 was an extremely safe for a large urban city. It can both be less safe today and still considerably safer than most large urban areas.

Trump has a meme stonk out there. The "Truth Social" company posted - I am not making this up - like $4M in revenue and a nearly $50M loss in 2023. And that's the literal asset for this new stock offering.
This whole ordeal will end up with a valueless stock for Trump and his idiot followers, with massive lawsuits to follow. Hope Trump can cash out early enough to pay the coming legal bills.
I don't care at all about Trump's phony company or fake net worth increase on something that for all practical matters is worthless. It's a weird Internet talking point for the time being. If they can turn this into a real company, might be worth something. But it's Trump, so all signs point to a final value of $0.

Hard to believe, because it is not true. Actually, squatters didn't have any rights in Florida. The only ones that were given a few weeks to a month in order to get them evicted were those that forged or lied about having a lease to the premises. All the new law does is allow the owner to file an affidavit stating that the purported lease is a fraud/lie by the squatter.

You could file an affidavit before the law but police departments were hesitant to do so. This law removes any hesitation to remove squatters. They also added criminal penalties as well.
Yes, they are a major player. You won't get them out of the marketplace, but you can push them back into reality on the ESG stuff. Outside of a few activists, businesses don't push this stuff because they want it but instead because the want to get the crazies off their ass.

An easy math example would be if the stock was worth 4 Billion on Monday.

Trump is not swindling anyone at this point. I mean, it's pretty clear this is a worthless stock to anyone reviewing the financials, and the bet is somehow it helps him win the election. But that doesn't mean those involved are going to avoid problems when it inevitably tanks and exits the marketplace.

I took some time to create an account and play around with TS the other day. I am not an expert, but thought it to be pretty well done. I am guessing people will be shorting DJT successfully unless he uses his political platform to encourage his supporters to not only sign up, but be active users. That would be good use of his superpowers, so to speak. He has an extremely loyal base.
I have watched numerous companies print crazy red ink for extended periods of time as the stock treads water or even climbs. I am guessing there are some great examples like AI(until early this year) or Tesla.
I think I read somewhere he has restricted stock for the first 6 months. Can that be leveraged or bartered with? That is above my pay grade. All the restricted stock I own has a value and can actually be liquid for a price.
I believe he cannot leverage or barter it for 6 months, but the Board can lift those restrictions if they see fit.
There is zero doubt that there's a company with value here if properly promoted and managed. But not close to the current valuation, which is why I'm calling it a meme stonk. If you could get say 3M regular users and market to them, I'd think you'd have a real business worth not insignificant money. Probably not billions tho.
Trump's issue will of course be selling shares without tanking the price of the stock. That will certainly work with diluting his ownership interest, but if he did that substantially while company was deeply in the red, exactly what is the value going forward?
I genuinely don't think Trump intended for this, but right now the company's biggest upside is an influence peddling operation for Trump. "We'll take some stock off your hands for a favor" ... lol. And yikes! Of course that's all premised on winning in November ... we all know what's going to happen with this media venture if there's no winning that occurs.
