ASU came in not long ago, like 2 weeks. Illinois felt like they had this done as of yesterday, but then ASU went to his coach and said, hey, we have an opening on staff since Rashon Burno took the NIU job.
It was like, well, that sounds like a good deal. Literally.
Illinois was given the opportunity to hire this coach as well. They will pass.
They are still working behind the scenes to flip it, but ASU is the pick and they will supposedly hire George Amaride as an AC later this spring.
