Why can't our lineman get to the second level more often?
When lineman pull, do they have an "assigned" block based on the defensive formation, or do they simply look for the first unblocked defender? At least twice, I saw Boles pull and fail to get a hat on someone. It appeared not to be an physical shortcoming, but more a matter of not being able to identify who to hit. For what's it worth, I remember Spencer doing something similar. I think he went at the same guy the TE attempted to block and left a LB to come untouched and make the tackle.
