is consistent offensive production from the 5 spot. Even more important for this offense than a great PG. It has been a black hole down there for the last 3 yrs. Stealing from another poster, "On offense, it was as if we were playing hockey, with only four on the floor, and our big man in the penalty box. We will be better with the players playing down low next year." (Many of you have made similar points.)
Having someone who can consistently convert from 15 ft on in would open up things for our wings, keep the other team honest on screens, etc. Salty made a lot of good points in his post but quite simply, Groce's offense was handicapped by two positions, 1 & 5, and IMO it's more important that we get some reliable production from the 5 than having a 5* PG. A guy like Olah or Walker (MN) would have helped our offensive production a lot this year. Hopefully, Paul and Finke, and maybe an improved Morgan provide what we need. We'll see.
