CHAMPAIGN, Ill. – Illinois freshman guard Kasparas Jakucionis is on the Oscar Robertson Trophy Midseason Watch List, the U.S. Basketball Writers Association announced on Monday.
Jakucionis is having a standout freshman campaign for the Fighting Illini. He is averaging 15.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on the season, shooting 47% from the field, 35% from 3-point range, and 83.5% from the foul line. A two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week honoree, Jakucionis has eight 20-point games, tying the UI freshman season record.
