against this staff based on the entire season, not just a couple of losses against the teams we had not been expected to beat. I took a lot of heat for that contrarian position and even took a mini-vacation. :)

I still think it was premature for people to be calling for Lovie's head publicly two weeks ago given that the record was precisely where we had all expected this team to have. But, after the MD game, I have seen enough to know that this regime is not going to work.

There is no excuse to lose to Maryland the way it did. Lovie has lost this team, his own staff and the fan base. I see no reason it will get better.

I couldn't give a shit if Lovie is aloof, inaccessible or mean to the local media or if he doesn't kiss Buddy Garrity's ass. That is not Lovie's problem, but that of the media types and boosters whose fragile ego and insecurity need to develop a thicker skin. Coaches like Nick Saban will destroy these people. But, I do give a shit that Lovie hasn't recruited better, coached better and won more games.

I think, with the MD loss, Lovie has dug himself a huge hole that he cannot get out of. I just don't see how he will be able to turn this around even if he changes his ways and makes some of the changes other people are asking him to make. Too little, too late.

So, yes, it is time to hit that "reset" button again. Unbelievable. We will be looking for a 5th HC in 7 years if Lovie were to resign, which I think is the best course of action for everyone involved.
