Happy Father's Day

This stuff is going to get out of hand. Really hope for a quick end to this.
I just heard on the radio the Israelis have now destroyed 2/3rds of Iran’s missile launchers. The more launchers they destroy, the less this is going to happen. Iran can have all the missiles they want, but if they can’t launch them, they are just taking up space.

That would be good news and heard the same but I certainly don’t trust any info as a 100% accurate

Mitch McConnell has literally never been a neocon. Ever.

He does favor significant aid to Ukraine tho. Perhaps he’s anti Russia.
We all have our different views on events. I don't like MM and think he should have been gone a long time ago.

From my view point, it is not that the US helped Ukraine against the Russians that is the problem. It is that we gave more money than the European nations (by a wide margin) and didn't receive any payback. It was standard idiocy and irresponsible behavior when it comes to US government spending.
Europe should have not only paid the bulk of this, but US tax dollars should have been respected equally to Europe's tax dollars or we should not have participated.

MM is a dope.

I make no money pushing due process and the due process to which illegal immigrants are entitled isn’t very high.

Having no idea of what the other side is actually arguing is a choice. One selected by lots of Americans on both red and blue teams.

It's very simple. They want to gum up / stop the process so that they can keep their illegals.

They don't give a hoot about due process and you know it. You also know they aren't entitled to it.

25 Million plus illegals is a ton of billable hours for your profession.

Willfully supporting the invasion of America is a choice and I know where you stand.

Frankly, I thought it would have been a higher percentage by now. Iran continues to indiscriminately strike civilian populations. It seems like the number of missiles launched at the same time has decreased, but I can’t find that information. One thing is for sure. With the skies being owned by Israeli jets, the second a missile fires, they know where the launcher is. It’s a matter of time. Pakistan shut the border with Iran down a few days ago. I am sure they don’t want refugees, but I also wonder if they won’t be providing cover for any top Iranian officials.

Yet again, the facts get in the way of a right wing argument.

Aid to Ukraine from January 2022 to April 2025

Europe - $156B
USA - $115B

Look, this is a great contribution from the USA. It is disproportionate (of course we tend to have a disproportionate influence in Europe and around the globe) on a per country basis, but much less so on a basis of GDP or population.

As for "getting something out of it," containment of the #1 adversary of the United States over the last century is "getting something out of it." There is a clear alignment between several roguish states against the American-led world order. Trump seems to be mostly doing well with the China and Iran pieces of that alignment, less so with Russia. (It seems somewhat because he admires Putin's "toughness," tho he might want to pay closer attention to the competence of Putin's vaunted military, which is pathetic.)

As per usual, I tend to favor the rule of law and disfavor stupid arguments.

Happy to let you go back to blowing Trump for the next month or so. Until then, take care!

Article 2 in Immigration Law has at it's primary procedure the Immigration Courts for determining IF asylum should be granted to people presenting at THE legal points of entry claiming legitimate reasons for asylum. There is also an appeal method , IF the first Immigration Court denies the asylum claim. There were approximately 1,400,000 MILLION persons within the USA that had skipped their Immigration Court asylum date and therefore are determined to be illegal immigrants.

IN ADDITION to those persons that entered the USA NOT at legal POE.

Article 3 is the Criminal Law that provides Due Process to CITIZENS of the USA !

I am sure you meant “Iranian” not “Iraqi”. Outside of the nukes, the big prize for Israel would be for them to take out at least 90% of the missile launchers. I’m not sure where they are at, but last I heard something reported it was about 35% - 40%.
Thanks, a kindly correction with NO profanity ! A true Illini !

Changed to the correct Country, from automatic spell check.

I have heard/read that the takeout of launchers is now approaching 90 % !

This may have some accuracy as 2 Missiles and 2 drones were the total fired from Iran into Tel Aviv and all were reported as shot down.

You are wrong, Europe has provided more. In addition, most of what we supplied were warehoused and outdated arms. Not much actual money. Plus the payback? Russia has lost a million men their economy is in shambles and has been exposed as a third rate power. Compare Russia's invasion of Ukraine with Israel's attack on Iran.

I guess this is all you've got, so take the L, run and hide. Meanwhile, you can vote "none of the above" like all of the brave TDS folks, yet benefit from quantity 0 catch and release in May, optimal inflation, and over a million new jobs for Americans. It's easy being Switzerland.

Take care!

Maybe the people of Gaza should have left them alone on Oct 7 or gave back all of their hostages.
According to your "reasoning" Iran is justified in hitting a hospital in Israel as they were attacked by Israel. Not very smart.

To clarify, my comment was "more than the European nations". Meaning them individually. It is anybody's guess as to the total cost to the US and any given EU nation, but we dwarf any one of them by a wide margin. I do not believe the US total cost will be 115 B.

Your second point of getting something out of it is not what I implied. I wanted the US tax dollars treated equally with EU monies with guarantees. Not a lot to ask imo.

I have posted this several times--The Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution grants Due Process to all PERSONS. It is a fluid concept based upon the right involved.

Get real. The European nations have a small fraction of the population of the US and each of their economies are all smaller than one U.S. state. We are a superpower, the only one, dedicated to helping people and establishing democracies around the world. Act like it and stop moaning about how we are paying more.

I don't disagree with this. But if true, why do people act like they are our #1 enemy? Why so much fear about Russia, if they aren't that difficult to defeat?

For the last handful of years we have gone back and forth between "Russia is weak" and "Russia will destroy all of Ukraine and Europe if the United States doesn't give endless support."
