Forget it….

Musk's X is a valuable resource to find out what is happening in the world. There are plenty of leftists on the site, too.

It's been stated repeatedly here that Trump holds the cards to make both sides suffer. After Z apologized for his tantrum at the White House and stated a desire for peace, his aid was reinstated. Putin will play ball. I bet you didn't know Trump reinstated sanctions on Russia a couple of weeks back.

You really should educate yourself before saying stupid stuff like Trump is Putin's puppet. Far from it.

I am aware of the sanctions. As long as India and China continue to buy oil from Russia it won't have much of an impact. Did you know that India purchased about 1% of their oil prior to the war from Russia and now that percentage is 40%. Trump simply does not have the leverage with Putin. In my post, I said Trump is getting played by Putin not that he is Putin's puppet. As much as I dislike Trump, it will not be his fault if peace talks fail.

A perspective on the ordinary Russian. We have friends who went to be missionaries after the iron curtain fell in the St Petersburg area. They had younger children, so as they got older it became too hard to raise them there, and they came back to the US. About 5-6 years ago I asked them why the Russian people were "passive" when it came to Putin increasingly becoming authoritarian and turning Russia back toward what it was with the iron curtain. They said the Russians like freedoms but did't like the unrest that came with the freedoms. Our friends believe the majority of the Russians do not support the war and the body bags that come with it but by the time it started Putin was in total control and dissent (and there was a little) was quickly eliminated. If we think about all the Tesla burnings, protests, corruption that comes with our democracy it is a little understandable that they are "passive". There is hope that after Putin things may change but certainly not while Putin is in charge.

Why would anyone follow the posts of that moron?

Well, your question is a big reason Democrats were big-time losers last November. Rob Scheider is an RFK Jr. guy who is now all-in with Trump.

The answer is 1) He is not a moron, 2) If you want to know what the middle is thinking - listen to him, and 3) He is downright funny.

I suppose I could follow great Democrat leaders like "Hot-wheels" Crockett and Chinese spy banging, farting "Fang-Fang" Swalwell, or lying Adam Schiff - but I don't.

Trump has lots of leverage with India, etc. You underestimate the power of a strong, American leader.

Trump can remove the European market, increase US production, and horse-trade with Saudi Arabia to get them to dramatically increase production. That hurts the Russians.

It’s a current news story and relevant to politics. How about you either contribute to the discussion in a meaningful way or simply don’t post?
Why are you so concerned with my posts? Are you obsessed?

I thanked him. The Snow White story is super important and relevant.

There will definitely be a recession. It will be good to get a bit of a reset and the government workers jobs in the private sector…although JaBba wants a bunch of them for open “jobs” in the Illinois govt.

I believe that a recession is coming and it is part of the medicine to reduce the deficit. I would prefer to end the tax cuts instead but that would be recessionary as well. If a recession does occur and Trump continues his tariff policy, then America could enter a period of stagflation which would be extremely painful. Trump will face a great deal of pressure to end the tariffs if there is a recession since tariffs are basically a tax on consumers.

The ability for government workers to transition to the private sector greatly depends on their discipline. Health care workers should be able to transition quite easily. Meteorologists and forestry workers not so much.

Those bemoaning the DOGE reduction on University health research should examine the cut of those $ grants = 60 - 40 to the school.

Doge is striving to change the grant $'s to 80 - 20 TO THE HEALTH RESEARCH !

Reducing the NIH 29 sites with 29 different IT departments and 29 different Publicity departments with computers unable to "talk" among themselves !

Peace talks are going significantly better than the ones that previously didn’t exist.
People should research the Korean War and the back and forths of that conflict and the eventual entry of Chinese troops and the final use of the 38 th parallel.

There was/were questions of Diego Garcia island in the Indian Ocean lately.

Here you go on what used to be a coal refueling station for the British Navy.

The US has by treaty taken over the Island thru 2036 !

In what is either preparation FOR or a warning OF a possible huge US military action the following is taking place in this area of operations currently !

1. USS Truman Strike Group has been extended past it's normal deployment !

2. USS Vinson Strike Group has been sent and has arrived in this area.
a. This action has DOUBLED the USN assets for delivering munitions by plane or missile.

3. DG is receiving the necessary planes and military assets to attack, ANYWHERE within 10,000 miles of DG 1, with 1 refueling.
a. 25 % of ALL B-2 planes have arrived from bases in USA to DG.
1. B-2's are stealthy , are capable of operating to 50,000 feet.
2. Can reach just below Mach 1 speeds, have an operational range of 6,000 miles without aerial refueling.
3. Carry a bomb load of 12, 2,000 lb bunker busters.
4. Carry a bomb that is 30,000 pounds to destroy deep caves or bunkers.

4. Additional Tankers AND supply planes have arrived to DG.

5. This means that Houthi OR Iran could be the targets !

6. Isreal had degraded all Iranian Anti air defense over the last month !

Screw You Joe and all of those who were ready to vote Biden again.

None of what he said is true.

Whatever happened to that poster name Ickrame who bent over for Joe? Hope he survived the death jab.

Get those Confederate statues back up. The south shall rise again! Doesn't matter who is president (DorR) there is plenty of censorship to go around. Museums must be Trump approved!

I suggest you attend a service this weekend to refresh yourself with proper Christian behavior.
Baptist deacons hang out the back door of church and smoke cigarettes. Catholics sin and go to confessional. Lather, rinse, repeat. A church is not a memorial for saints. It is a hospital for sinners. “Proper Christian Behavior” is not Christian. For by grace we are saved through faith, not of works.

Donald Trump Rose Garden Press Conference on COVID-19 Vaccine Transcript, November 13, 2020

President Donald Trump: Good afternoon. Thank you very much for being here. This is a great honor. Earlier today, I received a full update on the unprecedented progress being made under Operation Warp Speed, probably the greatest mobilization in this country’s history relative to what we’re doing. There’s never been anything like it with respect to getting something done that’s so important. Normally, a vaccine would take 8 to 12 years, sometimes even longer than that, and we’re going to have it done very quickly. We’re going to have it done in a very short period of time.
Under my administration, tens of millions of doses of safe and effective vaccines will be shipping out within the next few weeks. That’ll be an incredible achievement—tens of millions of doses going out over a period of time, starting within the next few weeks. We’ll begin with our most vulnerable citizens—our seniors, who are really in a class where they’ve been hit very hard—and our frontline heroes, our great frontline heroes, doctors, nurses, and others who have been so incredible during this pandemic.
This would not have happened without Operation Warp Speed. As you know, in July, my administration reached an agreement with Pfizer to provide $1.95 billion to support the mass manufacturing and distribution of 100 million doses, with an option to purchase a total of 600 million doses shortly thereafter. That was a big agreement, and it’s worked out well. Our investment will make it possible for the vaccine to be provided by Pfizer free of charge. It’s an incredible thing.
In addition, we’re far along with many other companies—Moderna and others—that are doing fantastically well, and we expect to have additional announcements very soon on those vaccines as well. We’re talking about things that are at a very high level and moving along very quickly. Distribution will be faster and more efficient than anyone thought possible, thanks to the incredible work of General Gustave Perna and our military, who have been so fantastic. It’s a massive undertaking—thousands and thousands of people involved—but it’s moving along incredibly well.
Right away, millions of doses will soon be going out the door. They’re ready to go as soon as the FDA gives its approval, which should be very soon—extremely soon. We’re not talking about a long time; we’re talking about something that’s going to happen quickly. This is a testament to American innovation, the brilliance of our scientists, the resilience of our workers, and the ingenuity of our private sector, which has been unleashed like never before.
This week, Pfizer announced that their vaccine—which we helped facilitate—was found to be over 90 percent effective, far exceeding expectations. That’s a number that nobody thought they’d hit so quickly or so easily, and it’s a tremendous tribute to the people working on it. And Moderna, as I said, is also coming along very well—potentially even better than that in some respects. We’ll see what happens, but it’s moving quickly.
This is a massive leap forward in our fight against the China virus. That’s what it is—it came from China, and we’re never going to forget that. But we’re making tremendous progress. I’m thrilled to report that as soon as April, the vaccine will be available to the entire general population—with the exception of places like New York State, where, for political reasons, the governor decided to say—and I don’t think it’s good politically; I think it’s very bad from a health standpoint—but he wants to take his time with the vaccine. He doesn’t trust the fact that it’s this White House, this administration, that’s getting it out there. So we won’t be delivering it to New York until we have authorization to do so, and that’s a shame because it’s going to hurt a lot of people. But we’re ready to go as soon as they say they’re ready.
For seven months, my administration has been working day and night to safely accelerate the development, manufacturing, and delivery of a vaccine. We’ve cut through bureaucracy like nobody has ever done before—red tape that would’ve taken years, we’ve gotten rid of it in weeks and months. We’ve done it safely, but we’ve done it quickly. This is a historic achievement that will save millions of lives and soon end the pandemic once and for all.
