The US is considering reciprocal tariffs. How is that possible? I thought Canada only put tariffs in place in response to Trump.

Some people have federal tax withheld and get the entire amount back in a refund.
So no one has ever cared about the massive tariffs some countries place on our goods. No one says they are penalizing their own people.
But they do care that Trump is using tariffs to try to force those countries to reduce the tariffs they have used on us for years?

I leased 2 GMC SUV's about 6 years ago.
When I finally looked at the window stickers that the dealer had scraped off and put in the glove box, I found both cars had been built in China !
I mentioned that to the guy I use for all my family cars, that I no longer wanted to get cars from China !
About 3 years ago, I had to replace the China cars and reminded Chris of my China no go !
He said, " NO problem ! "
I looked after about 2 weeks and found both SUV's were from South Korea !
One of the SUV's were struck by a deer around X-Mass and the front bumper needed replacement !
Since Dec 25th or so, that car has been in the body shop WAITING for the bumper !
It is alleged to be here March 19 th !

So to date I'd argue that those tax cuts payed for themselves, no "burden" was shifted to "the poor" in them.
