Somehow I missed the actual news about Gabbard's nomination yesterday, or whenever it was announced. She has one unique qualification for that role: she was targeted by the intelligence apparatus as an act of political retribution. Clearly a reform pick rather than a double-down on the status quo by picking from the the ranks that produced the signers of the laptop memo. Maybe FAFO even applies to them?

I think so. Washington has to start being accountable. It looks like that FEMA employee who was fired is a scapegoat. I saw her interviewed last night. Some people above her are guilty. If/when heads role, we may start to see a bit of difference in how Washington works. They do it, because they know at worst they will get a slap on the wrist.
