Technically, it would be election interference not fraud. In reality, it was just a bad poll that meant nothing. Almost everyone thought it was a bad poll when it came out so it didn't influence anything. I cannot think of anything that is more of a non story.
If I was an undecided near election day, I can't imagine my decision would be swayed by a Iowan poll. Boy, better vote for Harris, she is leading in Iowa!

It was an attempt by the Democrats which of course includes the press to influence low-information voters. "Kamala has momentum". "Kamala leads in 4 of the 7 swing states". It was used as a national GOTV effort. That's why CNN, USA Today, the Boston Globe, MSDNC, and the FakeNews stations all picked up this one poll and ran with the DNC narrative.
Maybe someday you will open your eyes to reality; however, there is no evidence at all that any such thing will happen.
Jeff, do you recall MSNBC, CNN, etc. saying it was a "bad poll" and it "meant nothing" when it came out?
It might be rather cynical of me, but I think that poll was primarily about getting donations rather than getting votes. I tend to agree that as far as the election itself, the poll was not really any different than a disingenuous campaign ad. I wish things were less slimy, but slimy works often enough it's part of the toolbox. It'll take voters, and likely more importantly, donors, to say no to slime to change anything. I was actually mildly heartened that voters seemed to reject some of the nonsense this go around.

I find the polls influential. Is Trump ahead or behind? Late summer he was behind, then ahead as time progressed, and then behind again- always seemed close. Toward the end most polls had him ahead, but within the "3%" margin of error.

How many articles have to be posted about all the polling for you to actually admit your stated position is bullhockey doodoo? I even posted one where the NY Times and and a couple of other aggregates stopped including Trafalgar, Rasmussen and Atlas Intel…3 of the most accurate polling firms and Atlas has been quite accurate going back to 2020. Why didn’t they include them? Because they showed Trump winning nationally. Psyops. Period.

The DOJ, FBI, ATF, and other unknown agencies EVEN a Federal Grand Jury have dismissed ALL investigations due to the lack of credibility of ALL the witnesses, including Greenberg ( Gaetz is not his friend !) in prison for sex trafficking and bogus charges against other people to receive a reduced sentence. Crazy. Apparently California in 2024 mails a ballot to everyone they think is eligible to vote. All this created a lot of mail-in ballots not properly filled out. But no worries, in California they hire "workers" to cure the ballots. They call, they even make trips to find the voters. He had to know they were going to be leaked, as well as everything the DoJ has. Assuming the leak and withdrawal are connected, it was pretty dumb of him to let his name get forwarded as a nominee. I'm all for POTUS rather than the bureaucratic state and others running the executive branch, but this is a name I'm not sorry to see withdrawn.

Rillaman (whom I correspond with via DM) asked me the other day if I was on here under a pseudonym. To be clear, I am not. I have not posted on this chain since around late September, when I decided it wasn't worth a single second of additional time of mine. Apparently someone is tormenting TJ (per Rillaman), which may be why when I came over here for the first time he mentioned me in three straight posts, which I found bizarre but maybe it wasn't. I am not that person, I have not thought about TJ since late September when I left here. I do not plan on renewing posting here, either. I do hope Best and several others are doing well.
Separately, congrats to Trump and his sycophants. Some of his appointments since winning the election have been outstanding, some have been hideously bad, including the guy who quit today and several other bootlickers who found their only way to prominence being the walk behind the Donald. There will be good and bad in a Trump Presidency, and there will definitely be absurdity. At least it will give you all plenty to talk about, I will be commenting on Illini sports on the other boards.
