I think about the worst thing that can happen is to put a right-leaning equivalent of Garland in charge of the DoJ. Politicization of justice and law enforcement is a really bad thing and amplifying it would be a disaster as the pendulum swings in both directions and it will spiral out of control. That's what my discomfort with Gaetz in that role is, I've come to realize. That said, I think it's essential to give the department a very thorough and frankly merciless root canal which ironically probably means a jettisoning of the entire DoJ leadership, and the leadership of every entity that reports to them.

Along with that, the idea of relocating a lot of these entities well away from DC is really growing on me.

I also think DOGE can be really good thing as long as it doesn't turn into a collection of political hatchet men. Again, because of the pesky swing of that pendulum and the probability it will spiral out of control. It should go after financial waste and especially the institutionalized wholesale grift.

I'm probably naive but I'm clinging to the belief that it's still possible to restore the 'for the people' charter of the federal government.
I have no issue with a thorough review of ALL Garland investigations AND prosecutions and arresting those person's who broke the law.
That is NOT retribution, but JUSTICE !

The House seats currently stand at 218 Rep, 212 Dem and 5 undecided. Since Gaetz resigned, it effectively is 217 I think. Here is an article on the 5 undecided races. The summary is the races are close but the Rep are leading in 4 of the 5. (although Dems in Pennsylvania are finding creative ways to manufacture votes for Senate so who knows how the election finally ends.) Most certainly a Rep House, but not much room to wiggle.

Math is Racist according to many Dems Wokeys !

Like I have posted my eldest Sister was # 2 in her Law School, while still fully employed. She took BOTH the NJ AND NY Bar exams basically at around the same time. Passed NJ and failed the NY. She appealed the NY test. Went to the Board in Albany and argued her score ! They agreed with her arguments and passed her !

When asked how she succeeded ? "I like to argue !"

The bar exams aren't rocket science !

The House ethics committee is not law enforcement. Even if the DOJ does not prosecute, there can be ethics violations.
No kidding. I wonder why the DOJ gave their enemy a pass?

I am guessing there is a small problem with that pesky little thing called evidence. Those anonymous sources are usually very accurate🤪

I think Musk is pretty seriou$ about his political involvement going forward.
Since his man love for Trump he is around Trump a lot !

Trump has joked that he's (Elon) always around, "I can't get rid of him !"

Yep. She committed career suicide with her psyops poll. At least some organization is pissed they paid for and advertised bad intel.

Nobody on the left is pissed about that poll except for dummies like Jeff who believed it. The people who paid for it knew it was totally false

She got one last massive payday before retirement and was more than willing to put her credibility in the toilet. The Dems got their headline and talking points for the weekend. It may have even motivated a few Dems to go vote. Lastly, the Des Moines Register like all papers is done. Daily circulation for the AZ Republic os something like 60k in the 5th biggest US City with no competition
