Been talking to a lot of in state kids this week, and here are some tidbits on two of them:
Sam Brodner -- I get the feeling that Illinois is the new favorite here.
Why? He's taking his official visit January 15th and one of the first things he said was that it was going to be with current commit Drake Spears.
He is being personally recruited by Coach Cubit, and says he's got a really good relationship with him.
Other note: Hinsdale Central likely slot WR Christian Bobak has been offered a preferred walk on spot. There is a lot to like about Bobak, he's got a great motor (I know that is overused) but he played RB for Hinsdale Central and racked up enough yards to be considered for all-area. He's pretty explosive and from what I've seen he's got good hands. Not as tall as you would love, but definitely a kid that could contribute one day.
