is the key with young players. You see positive reports about them from Friday's open practice, but on Saturday they have no idea what is going on, and look completely lost. Hamlin was that guy on Saturday morning at 7AM.
Some random thoughts...
Feliz, Ayo, Giorgi, and Trent have been consistent day in and day out. Those are the leaders and best players on this team, no doubt. DaMonte and Griffin bring effort and energy every day. Kofi is almost always playing hard, even if he does some thing incorrectly, and very coachable.
Having Hutcherson and Grandison basically on teh scout team is huge when they start game prep.
Kipper has been more consistent as well, but you just can't expect it. He's basically a give him a 2 minute stint and see whether you have good Kipper or bad Kipper.
BBV should be playing later this week. That's very important for frontcourt depth. He has responded well to individual workouts.
Illinois will post Giorgi and he will score, I think it is great that he just wants to play. Not selfish at all. He isn't getting a lot of shots in scrimmages, but he knows he will.
KK Robinson was a weird dynamic, as he spent a lot of practice with Jamall Walker, who was his lead for the past year. He definitely sees the potential for early playing time.
Underwood is still demanding, but he hasn't been as rough as he was the first 2 years. Maybe he doesn't have to coach effort or toughness now? Not sure. Maybe he has evolved. Trust me, he still gets on them, but it isn't near as bad as it was.
Gentry has been a good addition in his focus on details, not sure how much he will help with recruiting.
Curbelo visit this weekend. Really think this kid fits so well with Miller and fills an immediate need at PG.
