I wouldn’t limit anyone to fixing potholes. If kids want to do something that requires an advanced degree, they should be encouraged to do so. More people need to go into the trades though. Trades pays very well. Teach basics and get students ready for society, not college. If kids want to choose something that requires college, that is great. With manufacturing hopefully coming back to the US, between the assembly line and trades needed to fix/run the plants, it’s a big opportunity for kids who can’t afford college, which BTW, there are a lot of those. College is too expensive. The liberal arts school isn’t worth anywhere near what the engineering school. Between useless degrees and too expensive degrees, there is a reason besides buying votes that the Biden Admin wanted to absolve debt. Many grads are barely treading water.
MBA’s are a dime a dozen now. PT used to be an extra year. Now it’s a 3 year post-grad degree. The government being involved in the system through student loans has created a lot of issues. There are kids who get Gen Eds out of the way at the Juco and then make the Hospital’s small programs for nursing or an Allied Health occupation. They make money while they are getting that degree and sign a contract they will work for X amount of years inside the hospital’s system before moving to a different employer. Great stuff.
The government needs to look at the value of degrees/fields of study and cover the loans accordingly. That way our capitalist system also impacts the education system, instead of the opposite. Also make schools responsible for the student loans and collecting the debt. That will keep a lot of students and families from getting fleeced with useless degrees.

This is an elite level of projecting. For years, the left has talked about how much Russia impacts elections, how this war is necessary to weaken Russia.
Most believe we could blow Russia off the map if we wanted to, but we don’t because of China. We don’t get overly worked up about election meddling, because we know that there is a ton of election meddling all around the world, and it’s a joke to be so concerned about Russia, when China is doing far more to influence our people.
Scared of Russia? That’s the entire Dem party and MSM. Biden was scared of Russia, and Putin clearly wasn’t scared of him. If he really wanted to protect Ukrainian traditions, we should have supported a massive counterattack right when the war started. Instead, we sent some $ and weapons to a weaker military to participate in a drawn out war. That was weak American leadership, which is what more people are scared of.
