...and in other news

As someone who had worked in the nonprofit sector for 20 years, Ackman is clueless. To receive government grants, you enter into a very detailed contract with the government that specifies exactly how the money is to be spent and what are the deliverables. In addition, most grants require a Yellow Audit conducted by an outside CPA firm to make sure the money is spent according to the terms of the grant. The US government just doesn't hand out money without oversight. I have never seen a grant from any governmental entity that does not require a ton of paperwork.
I have been on a nonprofit board for years. That in no way makes me qualified to say our government is not rife with fraud, waste and abuse of money being randomly directed by unelected ideologues. Apparently, Jeff says, "everything is ok👍".

So, why again is everybody concerned about people looking through those records? I mean Jeff says it was all legit because they had to... um, checks notes...do paperwork. 🤣🤣🤣

All opinions are welcome on this board, so long as they meet the Yahoo community standards.

Stop attacking people personally because you disagree with their opinions.

Those of you who are attacking others, consider this the last warning. The next step is blacklisting.

Outstanding info you provided. The problem with your response is you missed the main vibe of Ackman’s post. Just a fancier version of stoneaxe deflections.
The government has oversight and control through the grant contract and reports they receive from the nonprofit. The government monitors how the money was spent. Again, Ackman is clueless.

The post was about the oversight the government has over how money was spent by nonprofits. I am not sure how your post relates to the original post.

Look for major election reforms Jeff. The Dems cheated massively in Congressional races this cycle. Every race that flipped went to Dems. Trumps dominant win should have yielded a much greater majority in both houses. Especially since guys like you like congressional candidates more than Trump

🤡 🤡 🤡

WELL,LOOK WHO HAS POLITICIZED THE DOJ!!!

White House Can Discuss Criminal Cases with Justice Dept

“The Trump administration’s rules for how White House staff can interact with the Justice Department are a departure from Biden-era guidance, explicitly saying the president and vice president and their top lawyers can discuss ongoing criminal and civil cases with the attorney general and her deputies,” the Washington Post reports.

PART TWO!!!! I guess prosecuting a crooked, corrupt politician makes the Boss look bad.
A top official at the U.S. Department of Justice has ordered federal prosecutors to drop charges against New York Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat who has cultivated a warm relationship with President Donald Trump.

In a two-page memo obtained by The Associated Press, acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove, an alumnus of the Manhattan office that brought the case, said that the decision to dismiss the charges was reached without an assessment of the strength of the prosecution of the prosecution and was not meant to call into question the attorneys who filed the case.

The criminal case against Adams involves allegations that he accepted illegal campaign contributions and lavish travel perks worth more than $100,000 — including expensive flight upgrades, luxury hotel stays and even a trip to a bathhouse — while serving in his previous job as Brooklyn Borough President.

Biden was an awful president. I am hoping Trump does the opposite of everything he did.

Like grant pardons to all January 6 criminals? What if he does something totally insane like pardoning Rod Blagojevich and make him an Ambassador representative of the U S? You got your wish😛

Blago was prosecuted for political reasons. Much different situation than the other IL governors who ended up as convicts. Let me know when Trump says for the next 4 years he won’t pardon his son and does it anyway. Blanket pardon for Fauci going back to 2014. Why 2014, stone? I know that answer. Do you? Biden set a record for pardons that will be hard to match by any future POTUS.

So just keep abusing the system because it won’t make a dent. This has always been a dumb argument.
And I am going to add that the author downplays the importance of USAID. That was a slush fund. Going after the wrong agency says the author. Quite moronic, considering how loud the offenders are squawking. There’s an old saying about who farted. The complainer’s the stainer. It’s fitting to the Democrats and their media right now. Congress has wanted accountability from USAID for a long time and were stonewalled and in Joni Ernst’s case was threatened.

Don't pretend that Trump and Musk are going to cut trillions in spending. Taxes will have to be increased in some form to achieve sound financial footing.

I think it is important for everyone to not pretend to know how this will end. USAID is going to end up in the 80-20 bucket. People will look foolish that are on the wrong side of this one. They ripped off the US taxpayer.

It will not end with trillions in spending cuts. It just is not possible. 500-700 billion would be a reasonable goal. The government is overstaffed.

How much "paperwork" was necessary to pay hotels in NYC the $ 59,000,000 million payment FEMA sent them this month ?

I just read a post about the Federal judge who threatened to arrest Trump if he didn’t send out the payments he stopped. Someone in that thread essentially said “correct me if I’m wrong, but Trump is his boss.” How do American citizens not understand the 3 branches of government and a Federal judge is in the judicial branch and Trump is the current big kahuna of the executive branch?

PART THREE ERIC ADAMS

Where are all of you complaining about politicizing the DOJ?🤔

Didn't Biden set the presidential record by a wide margin for pardons/ clemency for criminals?
You aren’t trying to draw a comparison. World’s largest drug dealer, Blago, Adam’s, 1,500 storming the Capitol. Immediate family and few officials specifically threatened by Trump. That is beyond silly whataboutism.

You are accepting the characterization of two pathological liars. Think about your sources.
