I have been on a nonprofit board for years. That in no way makes me qualified to say our government is not rife with fraud, waste and abuse of money being randomly directed by unelected ideologues. Apparently, Jeff says, "everything is ok👍".As someone who had worked in the nonprofit sector for 20 years, Ackman is clueless. To receive government grants, you enter into a very detailed contract with the government that specifies exactly how the money is to be spent and what are the deliverables. In addition, most grants require a Yellow Audit conducted by an outside CPA firm to make sure the money is spent according to the terms of the grant. The US government just doesn't hand out money without oversight. I have never seen a grant from any governmental entity that does not require a ton of paperwork.
So, why again is everybody concerned about people looking through those records? I mean Jeff says it was all legit because they had to... um, checks notes...do paperwork. 🤣🤣🤣
