..and in other news

They argue that it's already the law, and it's redundant. I don't think that's true because of sanctuary city/state BS, but I could be wrong.
I haven't had this issue come up in my practice recently, but it is and has been the law for quite a long time that conviction of ANY crime subjects the criminal alien to deportation. That is federal law. city/state law has no bearing on that. Sanctuary cities/states only alter that by not voluntarily notifying INS when a conviction occurs. If and when INS finds out they will deport.

Too bad it was Netanyahu and his RW govt. that failed to accept the deal since May, not Hamas.
I don’t care for Netanyahu for his relationship with the US but he did the right thing to what Hamas did to his people. The reality is they can’t allow organizations like Hamas to exist. Unfortunately the carnage over the last 15 months will just breed more hatred. It’s just a matter of time before the fuse is lit again.

I don't care for him either. I think his approach was not going to accomplish peace in the Mid-east . But now when I look at what he accomplished, I think he did amazing. He destroyed Hamas, but I think at too much of a cost to civilians. He wiped out the leadership of Hezbollah, and they are a spent force. He wiped out Iran's air defenses and their minions, Hamas , Hezbollah, and leaving them on the edge of revolution. I think with the help of US bombers they nullified the Yemenis. If Netanyahu would recognize the need for a Palestinian state they could get a deal with Saudi Arabia. That would be a new positive step for peace in the area.

Ummm….who will the Palestinians elect? Probably not people that want peaceful coexistence , especially after the last 15 months. As you said though , Netanyahu is supported by a lot of extremists in Israel that openly have settled Palestinian land.

Why does Denver have so many “outdoor deaths” these days? Guessing they used to fall under the overdose category.

It was 65 yesterday, so it’s not like they died due to exposure. The bodies just keep piling up here. Any chance any of these “outdoor deaths” are murders or overdoses being undercounted?

382 police calls to THIS SINGLE PROPERTY in 2024. Imagine telling an Aurora police officer that crime is down. The media actually staged an event here telling people it was our imagination that this was happening.

I don't know, the Palestinians need a total reboot with young non-corrupt leadership. They are not going away, and Saudi's and other Arab states will not let the issue go away. If Israel would stop building on Palestinian lands, maybe hand over some of the newest settlements, they can start a new phase of peaceful co-existence.

Reason #101 why AAs and MAGA were smart to not take the Death jab. Just the headline alone, not the usual amount of testing.

Common sense not to take it.

I missed you buddy.

Warren is the absolute worst.
Glad you are all done telling people where they shouldn't live. I was in San Jose/SF this week and flew back via LAX (no fires in sight, but lots of traffic and buildings everywhere). Delightful weather in the Bay Area and for anyone not from Arizona, the climate is fabulous this time of year.

Many people want to live in dangerous places like California - earthquakes, fires, tsunamis, mudslides, Democrat in charge, etc. Many people throughout history have also liked to settle in places (Pompeii, modern day Naples, Seattle) that are subject to the whims of big-ass volcanoes. Hell, the Indians told the Euros that New Orleans was not settled for a reason.

The governments role is to manage the land to allow these cities to exist and thrive. With Phoenix, natural disasters aren't a thing aside from forest management. But a fantastic power grid is mandatory along with a a very sound water management policy.

Jeff wants to join Stone in Naples, Florida. Should one liberal be allowed to keep another liberal from joining him in Paradise?
