..and in other news

More kids are being awarded Honor Roll now, despite getting worse in most subjects, especially math. If you don’t think America has embraced mediocracy this last generation, you haven’t been paying attention.

The people shouting about participation trophies for the last couple decades sure are upset about this. That’s odd.
Still wrong with respect to engineers. Stil very wrong RIll. Please sit this one out to save face.

As an engineer with an engineer daughter now getting her doctorate at a school with the latest 2-time Nobel Prize winner, I can tell you firsthand that there are plenty of brilliant American kids. The benchmark for getting into a prestigious engineering school like Illinois has become significantly harder to achieve than it was back in the 80s. Now, you argue about why that is the case (more applicants, Illinois taking more foreigners, out of staters, etc.). But, it is a fact that the standards have increased pretty significantly.

I appreciate what you are saying about the lower performing kids - even illegals are not allowed to fail. But, the top kids are outperforming their peers in math from the 80s (I am comparing 2010's Arizona math to 1980s Naperville math - the top Arizona kids are 2 years ahead by the end of high school).

The high tech companies love H1B's because they are cheaper and easier to manipulate/control.

Absolutely never said that.

I’ve said all along that heart issues could be caused by COVID itself, the vaccine, a combination, or neither. I’ve been eyes wide open from the beginning, and have even shared info that my company has shared on this.

You attribute a heck of a lot of things to me that I have never said. In this case, I said the opposite.

Pretty sure that clip is from 2023, BTW. This is not new news.
You said it Rill almost every time I brought up a sudden death / sports star collapsing. Deny it if you will.

The death jab is something I am very glad I did NOT take. Too bad 70 percent wanted it or in your case were forced to take it.

1/13/23, LOL. You are sharing something that is almost 2 years old like it happened today.

I already knew this.
Yep, and as expected, despite the link they failed to ban the death jab. Even worse, Biden gave them additional immunity through 2029. And you couldn't even vote against that.

For a guy who knows so much and complains constantly, you sure didn't vote like your country depended on it by voting "present".

I said give me the proof on specific cases, which you never did.

Including the golfer that killed himself, lol. Remember that one? You align pretty closely with the people that blamed every death on COVID, even car accidents. You just don’t realize it yet.

LOL what a clown! I was here and saw, were you?

Yes, I traveled to Florida in 21, 22, and 23.

But people believe very strange things. They convinced themselves of things that weren’t true, and the tourism stats prove that. Florida was busy the whole time.

118 million visitors in 2021, you dunce.

Your daughter is the exception, not the rule.

You raised her well, congrats.

We should be better than we were in the 80s. But we are regressing now. Everyone knows that.

Same people constantly complaining about how woke our schools have gotten, all the focus on DEI, how terrible the US Dept of Education is and needs to be abolished….

Also want me to believe that our students are in great shape, better than ever.

Those 2 things don’t add up.

How many when Covid hit-2020? DUH! How many cars on the road February thru may 2020? Give it up. Like saying Florida doesn't have a drop off of visitors in the summer.

Everyone knows travel was limited in 2020. You said schools were closed and roads were empty for 2 years, and we all remember it.

Everyone knows that about Florida and summer. Unfortunately for you, summer travel numbers also broke records in 2021. When you thought the world was shut down.

Steamboat is one of my favorite towns, but man has it gotten expensive.

We took the kids to Crested Butte for spring break last year and are doing that again. Also about 3 hours from us, but much less crowded. And I got a place at the base for $200/night!
Of the half dozen + ski areas in the West, that we visited , vote for Park City.

Nice runs, town was not jammed and the night snow storms were frequent and deep. Making you get up for early runs and not a cloud in the sky !

Things that everyone on the right agreed with a few days ago….

- The USA govt is really inefficient
- our school system is completely broken
- our welfare state encourages people to not work, not to be productive
- participation trophies have rewarded mediocrity for a generation

But then Vivek said that Indian people like to hire other Indian people instead of Americans because of all of our issues, and people flipped out.

Do you want people to be honest and transparent with you? I want more of this.

If you need proof we reward mediocrity in this country, look no further than Joe Biden. Is this really something that needs debated? Incapable of heating up a hotdog in a microwave, but he’s in charge of the country, and much of the free world.

The WSJ had a front page article detailing the increasingly bad mental performance of Biden. It is behind a paywall but the gist is there were concerns when he ran for president in 2020, but he declined as time went on and was particularly bad the last 2 years. He ran for another term because his staff covered up for him and no one could tell him no (kinda like trying to tell grandma she is too old to drive).

It sounds like increasingly each cabinet member ran their area as they wanted and rarely actually met with Biden. Who was behind all the executive orders and college loan handouts? -- they imply that his immediate staff who were Obama era types. (when Biden was elected I never thought we were going to have a far left administration, but we did. AOC must have been particularly happy)

Fox News keeps saying Biden was "on vacation" 540 days during his presidency, about 40% of the time. This stat I think measures all the time he was in Connecticut or elsewhere and "working remotely". He certainly was not a leader and certainly not "president" most of the time, regardless of where he was.

ps. Peggy Noonan wrote a followup opinion piece (paywall) that compared Biden to Woodrow Wilson, who had a stroke late in his term. Although his wife denies making decisions for him, history says different and Peggy feels it is not kind to the Wilsons. She concludes history will not be kind about Biden's mental capacity, despite all the Democratic Party attempts to claim otherwise.

I am not aware of Brandon spending any significant time in Conn, Nantucket Island < which is part of Mass> He and his family mooched off a billionaire to vacation there !

But he has his main residence in Delaware and also his beach home at the beach ! The total net worth of the two homes is about
$ 6,000,000 Million. Which it would be impossible for him to afford from his 50 + years Federal salary ! $ 174,000 his MAXIMUM Senate salary ! Just more proof that his entire family are Grifters !

Several sitting Presidents were medically infirm: Wilson, FDR, Ike, Reagan and now Brandon !

I have been talking about this obvious link for OVER 2 years !

Here on Rivals and everyplace ! Hospitals, rehab centers, Doctor's offices, Doctors !!

Mary Anne was afraid that I was mentioning it too often and it may affect the care I was receiving !

But I reminded her AND you guys that 50 % of ALL Doctors graduated, were in the BOTTOM half of their Med School class.

Always ask if they are Board Certified ! They are proud of that certification !

If it makes them mad, SWITCH Drs.
