A shout-out to Isaiah Williams

It's easy to take good players for granted and often it's because they arrive with great fanfare. Williams was a big recruit for Illinois but we shouldn't lose sight of the fact that he didn't come to Illinois to play WR or, AFAIK, ever play that position in high school. He's learned to be one of the best in the Big Ten without the head start most WRs have when they get to college. He's a great athlete with great quickness but doesn't have classic WR speed. He's maximized his craft utilizing what he has and seems to be on his way to, hopefully, being named 1st team All-Big Ten. And let's not forget George McDonald in this. Not just Williams but also Washington and Bryant (and Hollins?) have become better players under his watch.

Andrew Dennis says Illinois is a school that stands out

Dennis has developed a ton over the past year and has some of the best senior film I've seen from a Midwest offensive lineman this recruiting cycle. Has strong relationships with Bielema and Miller.

My hope for tomorrow

is ten point win where either Altmyer or Paddock are in the victory formation as the clock runs down. I don’t need a blow out just a game that doesn’t require a last second FG attempt. Or a 4th and seemingly impossible to keep the game alive. No heroics needed under a minute.
Toledo
Maryland
Wisconsin
Minnesota
FAU closing to w/in 7 with under 4 to play.

Just a game with Feagin running down the clock in the 4th quarter as Indiana falls into despair.
