Illini won fairly easily over UT-Martin this afternoon. High of 30+ point lead ended with 20-point win, 94-74.
Random thoughts:
--Was I asleep when wimmins games went to quarters instead of halves?
--Alex Wittinger (frosh) is a solid sub for Chatrice White. Great to see.
--CeCe Rice (also frosh), guard, is the real deal.
--Illini got a lot of practice vs full-court press....and they need it. Kylie Simmons may be the only guard right now who can 'handle' against the press.
--Illini shoot well enough from the arc, and have enough shooters, to keep the lane clear for our bigs.
--First WBB I have been able to watch this season, so a few grains of salt.
--Further advances my feeling, however, that a single player like Tori McCoy would make the Illini a top team. *shrug*
