Here is my bold prediction for this season. We will go undefeated in November. If you multiply the Pomeroy percentages for our 6 games (treating them like independent random variables) then we only have a 12.44% chance of winning all of our November games. We should be favored in 5 out of 6 games and maybe a 4 point dog at Providence.

There is a very simple reason why we don't lose in November. 3-pointers. John Groce says to fire away and we do. It works really well in a tournament environment or against mid-majors when you are playing teams that aren't coached or prepared well enough to stop you. This team has some epic 3-point shooters and they are going to light people up. Last year's team with the #127 offense still broke the 107 point mark twice.

I was thinking of writing a "the season isn't over if we lose one of these first two games" posts because of all the injuries, guys not at 100% conditioning, and missed practice time. I just don't think it's going to play out that way. I think we start strong this year. The next 2 weeks will tell the story.
