This seems to me to be a glass half full or glass half empty kind of question. Should this count as year 2 or year 3 of the Lovie Smith Football Program?
For those of you who think that Lovie should be accountable for year 3, please name a Head Coach (even an unrealistic name like Nick Saban) who would be further along in the Illini rebuild.
Second challenge. Other than Dudek, Allegretti and a couple other names, identify some players on the 2016 Illin roster that are legitimate P5 football players and should be contributing today.
