i have not looked at the other posts, so I am unsure of the mood of the fan base. But I offer my thoughts ...
First, and of all points this is the most important one imo. We have played 2 good teams in 2 weeks. From good (USF) to playoff contender (PSU). Out of the 8 quarters, UI has been very competitive in 7 of the 8. I understand that the 8th was about as bad as it gets. But that should not take away from the other 7, in which we stood toe to toe with the opponent. And we have the youngest P5 team in the country.
This, in my mind, is by far the biggest takeaway from the last 2 games. On a macro level, I do not see any other issue that matches this one.
The one corollary point would be to look at the remainder of the schedule and draw your own conclusion as to whether we can compete with the other teams. I have my thoughts on this, but I will leave it to you to make up your own mind.
