I love this. Cubit was obviously not the answer, and there is no better way for a new AD to mark a new era for an athletic department than to fire the football coach. I would have been just as happy with him firing Groce, of course.

Whitman is not dumb. He obviously has someone lined up for the job. There will be no usual search. Let's hope it is a home run hire.
