year ONE for Cuonzo Martin at the "dump" program known as Missouri State:
game 1 vs Greg Marshall @ MO State: Marshall LOSES to Martin by 13 points (wow)
game 2 AT Wichita State: Marshall squeeks by Martin in a home game, winning by 1 point
year TWO for Cuonzo Martin vs G. Marshall:
game 1: Marshall squeaks by Martin yet again by 3 points at MO State
game 2: Marshall AGAIN squeaks by Martin in a HOME GAME, winning by just 2 points
year THREE for Martin vs G. Marshall:
game 1: Martin beats Marshall by 3 AT WICHITA
game 2: Martin beats Marshall AGAIN in the "bracket buster" game by 5 points. .
So the sure-fire hall of famer (to plenty) Marshall took the juggernaut Wichita State program and took on the lowly Missouri State program with a brand new head coach with NO HC EXPERIENCE, and Martin goes 3-3 against Greg Marshall while being at Missouri State.
AND, Marshall never beat C. Martin by more than 3 points during the conference season in 3 years.
Felt like this needed to be known.
