When you play a team twice and get smashed by certain guys the first time it makes you focus harder and realize what you need to do to shut them down.
Unfortunately for Illinois, Nunn and Hill are good but each have glaring weaknesses easily seen on film. Nunn's right hand is abysmal and Hill has no confidence against smaller defenders and will settle if you stay in front of him, which is relatively easy.
The next two years of this program are going to ride on how hard those guys work to erase those deficiencies.
Nunn becomes a 50% better player if he adds another hand. Hill would be unstoppable if quicker and if more comfortable around the rim.
The good news is they both have a great skillset to work with. We aren't teaching guys how to shoot or something. They're already really skilled. So that bodes well.
But let's be real they're both pretty easy to defend right now if the opposing defense is well coached
