I know this isn't new news but I was reading the Tribune's list of the top 20 HS football players in the Chicago area and not one is currently headed to Illinois. Instead they are going to MSU,3 going to Iowa (seriously?), Minnesota, NU (again, seriously?), ND, Michigan Nebraska, OSU etc.
I'm sick of this nonsense. Epic fail by Beckman heading into year 4. I know I've said this before, but no way he should still be the head football coach at Illinois unless you are satisfied with being mediocre.
