Maybe it has been an obvious thing to the rest of you but it hit me last night watching Rutgers-Purdue. Not that there is parity in CBB but the reason for it: the transfer portal. Rutgers has two fairly important players that transferred in from other programs, look at Penn State's roster and they have two guys, of course DePaul with Moore and Coleman-Lands, the list goes on. Next year we will have two guys (Kipper this year but not as significant), NW's leading scorer this year, etc, etc. It is spreading the talent around and I would surmise a guess that 75% or more of D1 teams have at least one transfer, and 50% of them play a fairly significant role. Anyway, just thought I would share what finally occurred to me last night. Probably just slower than the rest of you dudes.
