A few weeks ago, we were in a mall in Niagara Falls Ontario. I had on my blue baseball cap with the orange block I. A gentleman walking pass us in the opposite direction said I-L-L. It caught me off guard and I was slow to respond "I-N-I". We stopped, laughed, shook hands and kept going.

Something not quite similar happened about 10 years ago at a winery in Napa. A young woman walked past me and said " Go Blue". We just laughed and I said something like not in basketball.

It's interesting when you get out of the Midwest and someone comments on my Illini cap by saying something like Fighting Illini.
