I've been on this board for a long time, not so much as a poster, but just to keep in touch with my Illini sports. I know from comments on here over the years, that many of you share an Illini connection with your family, especially your fathers. I thought this might be ok to share,....... I am in Champaign this weekend to bury my father. Not so much a sad day, because he had 90 good years........... A huge Illini fan, father of a large family, business owner (the kind of ECI guy that some on here complain about) ; ) ...........a letter winner in wrestling at Illinois, brother to an all-American wrestler at Illinois from a era long ago.........the kind of "greatest generation" guy that led his life by God, family and then everything else.............".Bled Orange and Blue" every day of his life and passed that along to his kids........Sentimental days for me, celebrating the end of an era.
