It seems like China has been at war with the US for at least a decade and our leadership/news media are too weak to do anything about it.

I agree with what Musk is saying but I don't know how much "pork" is in the big beautiful bill. Seems like every cabinet member is slimming down their respective agencies. The number that is being thrown around is a 2.5 trillion dollar increase to the deficit. The math is primarily based on the tax cuts reducing revenue.
The theory is that everything Trump is doing is going to raise tax revenues because of growth. I don't know enough to disagree but I wish federal judges and the deep state didn't hand cuff Doge as it was a fresh look at a big problem.

The Cabinet heads made cuts, but AFAIK, Congress didn’t bother to make the appropriate budget cuts in many instances. I believe funding for USAID is still there, but someone could prove me wrong on that.
