Since this is an off week, I have a question for those who know more about recruiting since this team could use a JC or transfer QB next year.
I know it is a big business to identify, analyze and rank JC players. Power 5 college coaches can rely on that resource to identify and recruit JC kids, not to mention leveraging their own networks of HS and JC coaches.
But, how does one "recruit" a fifth year transfer at this time of the year? Reading about Russell Wilson's transfer to Wisconsin, the process seems more like "I [the player] will call you [the coach] when I feel like I am ready" rather than two parties looking at each other over many months to see if there is a good fit.
But, I can't imagine Power 5 coaches are content to sit by their phone waiting for the phone to ring. I am assuming they are a lot more proactive in searching for fifth year transfers. What do they do?
Thanks.
