So looking around trying to get information on Div 1 transfers, specifically for football, but it appears to cover all Div 1 sports;
1. Athlete notifies Coach or Compliance.
2. They have 2 days to enter the athletes information into the portal.
3. Any other schools coaches can access the portal and contact the athlete directly.
4. Current school CANNOT block any school inquiry or destination.
a.) a conference is allowed to make it more difficult , but what is allowed to make it more difficult, in typical NCAA fashion is not specifically spelled out.
5. Current school has to load up the athletes academic record into the site. (No actual time specified).
6. Current school can cancel scholarship aid at the end of the semester at their decision.
7. New school can sign the transfer to scholarship at the beginning or the new schools semester.
8. No finite rule if the student decides to not transfer.
Does not appear the the portal is open to mere mortals.
So do we have any news on the 3-4 other than Jeff Thomas ?
