After listening to KJP for so long, I can understand why you would wonder if the government was telling the truth. I consider the official X account of the Department of Homeland Security to be as reliable a source as any media website.
It would be unusual to deny them access on the way into the country because they were intending to work, typically those with visitor visas can enter and VISIT. If they overstay, then they are removed. If they go and get hired (difficult without a visa for that purpose) then they are removed. Smells fishy.
Taxpayers should be forced to blindly fund the world's richest university for whatever they want. I don't know this is 80/20, but suspect it is at least 60/40
Jennings was idiotic. So was Congressman from NY mouthing antisemitism BS. The schools get paid for research, not hand outs. How many superconservative office holders went to Harvard? How large a percentage of students and faculty are Jewish. Trump picked on the wrong school with Harvard’s alumni and funds.
I used to go to Canada regularly. Upon entry, I had to declare, usually on a kiosk, that I was not there to work under a tourist visa (edit: entering as a tourist… Americans don’t need visas in Canada). Technically, I was there to work but only in meetings with customers and I wasn’t being paid by anyone in Canada. Many other countries require that same kind of declaration for admittance.

Exactly. When you come to US with a tourist visa and say your visit is for pleasure, they take your word for it.
But it’s not just a question of simply overstaying a visa. It’s also a question of entering with a fraudulent declaration that you’re there strictly as a tourist and not to work.
What an awful take. A great majority of US citizens have nothing to do with Harvard and will think this crazy amount of taxpayer funds to a wealthy group(university) is insane. Do you think most people will find those transgender research studies Harvard is doing to be a good use of taxpayer funds? Cmon man, use your head for than a hat holder today. If they have such prestigious, wealthy alumni, they might be the perfect institution. If the research is that vital, why can’t they fund them?
What happens when the US government invites anyone and everyone to bum-rush our border and disappear into our country?
You say to dump more of our tax money into the immigration system. The system your people illegally and intentionally flooded. The people you voted for allowed and encouraged mass illegal immigration with no regard to the immigration laws of our supposed “constitutional republic”. Therefore, there should be no regard to any laws or courts or judges, even the Supreme Court, when deporting these non-citizens as quickly as possible. Remember the 14,000 Haitians that suddenly appeared at the border? Biden and his cohorts flew them into our country’s heartland under the cover of darkness.
