My son is at NC State so we compare the coaching hires of two years ago and the teams. Keats was discussed in the Illini hire. I will use NC State for my question. They are 5-0 after beating Mt. Saint Mary’s, MD Eastern Shore, NC Asheville, Maine, and St. Peter’s. Illini are 1-4 with a tough schedule. Which will help more come conference play? I think in the long run, the better competition will pay off for the players. Which would be best for this Illini roster?
