There have been rumors that he may commit to Illinois during the Dick's National Tournament for at least the last two-three weeks. The feel has been that if he does so, Illinois is the team to beat and maybe by a fairly wide margin.
When the rumors first started a few weeks ago, I checked with sources on all sides and while they admitted they felt Illinois was in good shape, they also indicated that that timeframe might still be a little too soon.
I checked in again yesterday with a very good Tilmon source to ask if there was anything planned for this weekend at the Dick's National Tournament.
I suppose there's always chance I'm getting flat out lied to by people I've trusted for a while who have never steered me wrong or that they are totally misinformed about any announcement plans, but I don't think anything is going to happen immediately.
