Helluva year

BS? No, I said government spending in the first quarter fell 5.1 percent. FACT. An in the books thanks to Trump, Musk, and DOGE FACT.

So, the way you crap on something you claim to want is to then present a CBO "ESTIMATE"? Total deranged BS from a broken man who definitely can't be found on LinkedIn with the name Big Balls.

Government spending falls

Government outlays fell 1.4% after rising 3.1% late last year. Federal government spending tumbled 5.1% as Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) began hefty budget cuts and layoffs. The government also has frozen hiring.

State and local spending increased 0.8%.

Nonsense. US manufacturing jobs are more flexible than they’ve ever been and will continue to become more so. Do you think Intel would be building their $20+ billion plant near Columbus if they thought no one would work there?

Jeff is sadly broken. TSMC building a massive plant north of Phoenix. Intel making massive expansions south of Phoenix.

Jeff doesn't have kids so he has no idea what they want. The fact of the matter is they want to be able to buy homes and one component to buying a home is a good, well-paying job. Manufacturing I imagine has become more and more high-tech and isn't what Jeff imagines it to be.

I'm old enough to remember garbage men picking up garbage cans. That was about the time Jeff was wearing his Reagan/Bush pin.

MY PI closes all it's locations after 54 years of Chicago style deep dish pizza !

Here W of WP the garbage gets hauled away every Wednesday at about 0500 AM. 4 cans of refuge, 2 trucks have automatic grabbers that dump each can into truck and away they go !

When we were in NJ you could order Milk in glass bottles and other dairy products delivered to your door by the "milkman" !

Not presidential material. Either she is a liar or can't do math. Or both.

"As rumors swirl over Ocasio-Cortez's ambition for higher office, the congresswoman raked in a massive $9.6 million over the past three months. The record-breaking fundraising haulwas one of the biggest ever for any House lawmaker. Ocasio-Cortez's team highlighted that the fundraising came from 266,000 individual donors, with an average contribution of just $21."

$21 x 266,000 is $5.6 million, not $9.6 million. No worries, George Soros is good for the shortfall and a lot more.

As been proven by various Cabinet members during the Joey era, Math is racist !

I just posted an article that states Gen Z is not particularly interested in manufacturing jobs. Gen Z likes flexibility and/or remote work. Neither is possible with shift based work at a plant.

I am sure older generations have a different perspective and are more inclined to take those jobs.

They liked work from home too. That is now largely over - see JP Morgan, Google, Meta, etc.

Older generations didn't like awful commutes, dangerous work, etc., but they did it because it is called work. I have in the younger generation to do the right thing. That is why the youngest adults overwhelmingly favor Trump. They want to be rewarded for their work and they want a chance at the American Dream. This I hear first-hand from sub-25 year olds and it is true.

You take an article as gospel. Do you think the WW2 generation including Stone's family wanted to fight the Germans? In most cases, no, but they did it.

There are main articles that say the same thing as this one. Younger workers want flexibility that isn't going to happen in manufacturing.
Who gives a shit what they “want”? They will have NO MONEY if they don’t buck up and get a job when one is available. “Mommy!!! I want a cush, comfy, flexible job that provides me with an emotional support animal and a safe space!!!” GTFOH

At least he is honest.

That was a pretty open and transparent interview. Have to at least give him credit for doing this, and being more open with the American people. Massive difference from the prior admin.

Tough to say he isn’t fair to the press when he is this open.

My commute when I worked on Broadway just opposite of The Bull in the center median, took 2 1/2 hours EACH way.

The high speed ferry from NJ to dock at bottom of Wall St, was $ 600 a month.

Good interview if you want an ignoramus as the President. "I don't know what the Constitution requires". What sort of moron refers to himself in the third person "A lot of people like Trump" o_O

It was a good interview in the sense that Trump is completely transparent in showing the nation who he is for better or worse.
