Trump is trying to undo all of those so if the Dems are running to undo Trump, it seems like their party will be back to the 2021-Jan 2025 disaster.

My guess is (just my guess) is they will embrace a progressive candidate who will try to act more moderate when needed. Someone like Newsome or out of left field, Gretchen Whitmer. AOC will be too toxic. They will package it as something new but it probably will be the progressive playbook.

I have been amused at all of the announcements since January 20 of the Billions$ even Trillions$ in investments and new plants coming to the US, supposedly brought about by tariffs. Anyone that knows how these large Billion-Trillion$ corporations plan realizes that these new plants have been in the works for years. They have to plan the size and specifics of the plants/facility. Find a list of possible locations. Analyze the transportation in the areas, the housing, the schools etc. to attract employees. Then when they narrow the possible sites down, they begin negotiating with the state and local governments for waiver of restrictions, waiver of taxes, contributions to the costs. In other words, it takes years, not a few weeks. They certainly are not planning based upon the on again off again tariffs that may not be in place next week let alone 2-3 years from now. These investments/plants will not take place during Trump's term.

As Usual, you know only half the facts or deliberately refuse to investigate.

Companies are rushing to build facilities in the USA ASAP. Why ? Because Trump is passing tax policy that will allow them to expense/write off 100 % of their expenses.

About 5 - 6 TRILLION dollars to date is incoming.
