Well, a year ago today our dear friend @JeffT818 came to realize that Joe Biden wasn't his "best version ever". In fact, Jeff was shocked, dear I say, shocked that Joe did not appear to be coherent with weeks of intense practice!
Jeff was able to bounce back from his failure to identify an alzheimer's patient and was quick to support the just plain dumb Kamala Harris. Of late, Jeff fled to safety after Liberation Day and missed several all-time highs that were hit today as a result. Only Trump being forced to play FAFO with Canada this afternoon has caused a momentary retreat / pause on the market boom. Canada will inevitably cave as they must.
What a difference a year makes.

The Left is so into using/abusing govt power to push political agendas.
I had the privilege of visiting Pearl Harbor and going to the USS Arizona memorial in February. Nearby is the USS Missouri. IMHO, Naval ships should be named after states, war heroes, basically anything other than political agendas. Except in 2016, the Obama administration named a naval tanker after Harvey Milk, a gay politician in San Francisco.
So in 2025, Pete Hegbeth is renaming this tanker after a Medal of Honor recipient and Nancy Pelosi is calling it a "shameful, vindictive erasure of those who fought to break down barriers for all to chase the American Dream."
Did we really need to politicize the military? We have plenty of war heroes that should be honored. Trump 2.0 has got to be getting a lot of deep state actors nervous.

You just made the case against yourself. You are against politicizing the military. Yet you are in favor of renaming a ship because the person was Gay. The ultimate politicization by the anti-LBGT etc.. right. It was a tanker for goodness sake not an aircraft Carrier. One of your dumbest ever posts and that is saying something. The ship is now properly named after a WW2 Naval Medal of Honor awardee who died to get his medal.
It's not named after the Koch brothers or Mayor Guiliani, it's named after a man who died serving with your relatives - something we can all be proud of. It is no longer named after a pedo from San Francisco. Thank God!
Your party also politicized the naming of bases around America - Hood, Bragg, etc. Everything is political on your side. Kudos to Secretary Hegseth for insuring it was named after an American hero.
You really need to rethink before you post. Obama politicized the Navy, I am against it. Apparently you are for the Prophet Muhammad tanker, to appeal to your muslim constituents. Go for it. Very multi faith. I prefer non political names.

RE: Harvey Milk. I realize he was a serviceman in the Navy, discharged allegedly (probably) because he was gay -- in 1954. He eventually moved to SF and became a city politician and gay activist and was murdered in 1978.

Then you are against naming bases for Confederate Officers who were traitors to Country. But your thinking is backwards there also. That naming was to show racist policies and beliefs. ultimately political act. That was reversed, and now Trump/Hegseth is playing the political game of appealing to those who like Confederate traitors and what they fought for.
