Week 1 is coming up fast. Here's our plan for game week / game day coverage this year. I need your input on naming some of the features, and ideas for what you would like to see as part of our coverage
The schedule will be pushed up one day for week 1 vs. Kent State.
Sunday
- In-depth analysis of Saturday's game (ideas for the name?).
- Social media package will go out in the afternoon with all game content.
- Visiting recruit interviews
- Commit Tracker (how Illini commits performed)
Monday - More visiting recruit interviews
Tim Beckman weekly press conference is Mondays at 1 p.m. during the season.
Tuesday - Supinie's column, more recruiting, stories on the upcoming opponent.
Wednesday - Behind enemy lines (Q & A with a beat writer for the opponent).
Thursday - Game preview (ideas for the name? I thought about Countdown to Kickoff, but that has been so over-used).
Friday - I'll typically be out covering high school games, so the front page stuff will be mostly hoops, recruiting news, Supinie / Maniscalco columns, etc.
Saturday
- Game day central (landing page with links to the stories on the game, roster, depth chart, game notes from FI.com, and game thread. Same as last year.)
- Post game story - quick hitter on observations from the game (ideas for the name?)
- Post game video interviews from our video reporter Jonathan Joffe
- Photo gallery
- Visitor news for any of the top kids who show up.
What else to you want to see? What information are you most interested in?
